Safran is once again partnering the Hello Tomorrow Global Summit at the CentQuatre center in Paris, March 21 and 22, 2024 and supporting the Global Challenge competition for deep tech startups[1] as sponsor of the Aerospace category.

The Hello Tomorrow Global Summit is an annual event bringing together startups developing disruptive technologies in healthcare, agribusiness, energy, communications, and aerospace. At this year's event, Safran is sponsoring the Global Challenge, Aerospace category, and showcasing nine startups[2] at its stand. These young tech companies reflect Safran's strategic focus on innovation, especially in the areas of decarbonization, digitalization and sovereignty. Safran is working closely with each of these startups and has invested in five of them through its Safran Corporate Ventures investment fund. The stand will also showcase three intrapreneurship projects[3] reflecting another of our innovation initiatives.

The Global Summit is also a springboard for our new Safran Explore programs to identify high-potential startups. Two new challenges are being launched in 2024. The first is Safran Explore Canada - Montreal is the world's third largest aerospace hub after Toulouse and Seattle - in partnership with the Centech Canada startup incubator. Second, the Safran Explore Flying Experience will focus on innovations for digital services and the materials circular economy, and will be led by the Starburst incubator.

As part of its open innovation approach, Safran launched the first Safran Explore program in June 2022 with a focus on hydrogen technologies. Thanks to our collaboration with the TechFounders incubator in Germany and Starburst in France, close to 100 startups have been identified and six have been selected to receive support from Safran companies to help mature their technologies.
