The group said this morning that Saint-Gobain's Construction Chemicals activity is continuing its efforts to develop new additives adapted to low-carbon cements and concretes.

These low-carbon technologies open up significant co-development opportunities with new partners in fast-growing markets, and will accelerate Saint-Gobain's profitable growth in construction chemistry," management said.

Saint-Gobain took part in raising funds for Fortera, a start-up that has developed a low-carbon cement manufacturing process based on recycling CO2 emissions during production.

The Group is also supporting Ecocem, a European leader in low-carbon cement technologies, as a shareholder in the development and marketing of new large-scale cement production methods.

' These initiatives are fully in line with Saint-Gobain's 'Grow & Impact' strategic plan, which aims to consolidate the Group's leadership position and accelerate its growth momentum by expanding its range of solutions for sustainable construction markets ' says management.
