According to the Wall Street Journal, the CRM (customer relationship management) software company is in advanced discussions to acquire Informatica. Discussions are at an advanced stage and could be concluded this week.

Following this news, Jefferies confirms its Buy recommendation on the stock, with a price target of $350.

The analyst believes that this potential acquisition project could be promising, following the Wall Street Journal article which highlighted Salesforce's interest in Informatica.

' We believe a possible deal would complement MuleSoft and extend CRM's data management capabilities. It would also unlock Data Cloud and AI opportunities ' says the analyst firm.

' We expect little dilution to CRM margins. Informatica is trading at 7 times. An offer around this valuation would be in line with other data and integration deals' adds Jefferies.
