The real estate investment trust, based in Boca Raton, Florida, said it had funds from operations of $365.7 million, or $3.37 per share, in the period.

The average estimate of eight analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for funds from operations of $3.32 per share.

Funds from operations is a closely watched measure in the REIT industry. It takes net income and adds back items such as depreciation and amortization.

The company said it had net income of $109.5 million, or $1.01 per share.

The communications tower operator, based in Boca Raton, Florida, posted revenue of $675 million in the period, which did not meet Street forecasts. Seven analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $683.8 million.

For the year, the company reported funds from operations of $1.42 billion. Revenue was reported as $2.71 billion.

SBA Communications expects full-year funds from operations in the range of $13.15 to $13.51 per share, with revenue in the range of $2.67 billion to $2.71 billion.
