Bergen,8 February 2024 : Scana-ownedPSW Power & Automation is selected by a Swedish company to supply a portfolio of BESS projects for grid support. In addition to the battery systems, PSW will supply an innovative control technology that helps stabilize the frequency in the Nordic grid and control solar production at the same time. The total value is classified as sizeable (1) for the company. The project will start immediately, and delivery will take place in Q3-2024.Sweden's new electricity production comes from solar power; however, electricity generated from renewables can be highly variable hence the need for batteries. PSW's BQ is a modular energy storage system with an integrated energy control solution that maximizes the revenues from solar production, energy trading and frequency regulation.
