122 thousand producers were reached with 'Family Farming Banking' …
Şekerbank initiated 'Family Farming Banking' based on the declaration of 2014 as the 'International Year of Family Farming' by the United Nations World Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), and aims to support the sustainability of production by reducing the migration of farmers from rural areas to urban areas.

Within the scope of the project, which is a first in the world, farmers who left their villages and whose income decreased due to reasons such as the division of agricultural lands by inheritance, limited irrigation possibilities, lack of application of modern agricultural techniques, are given opportunities that are first in the sector. 122 thousand farmer families were reached in six years with 'Family Farming Banking' and approximately 10 billion TL of financing was provided in this field.
