Fatality at Styldrift

Shaft Sinkers Holdings plc (LSE:SHFT), the international shaft sinking and underground construction group, regrets to announce that an employee was fatally injured at its Styldrift project in South Africa on Saturday 4 October.

Shaft Sinkers expresses its deepest condolences to the family, relatives and friends of the deceased worker, Mr. Simon Chuhungo Xadreque .

Shaft Sinkers has dispatched a team to the site, and a full and thorough investigation is underway to determine the causes of the accident.

Shaft Sinkers Holdings specialises in the sinking of particularly deep and wide vertical and decline shafts and the development of underground infrastructure, used primarily in mining and hydropower applications.
