The first Global Ports Leaders'Exchange, initiated by Shanghai International Port Group Co., Ltd. and PSA International, was held in Shanghai on Oct., 17th, 2012. Senior officials from seven global terminal operators and port authorities, namely Shanghai International Port Group Co., Ltd., PSA International, Hutchison Ports Holdings,APM Terminals, DP World, Port of Long Beach and Port of Rotterdam, attended the summit.

All parties agree that thanks to years of development, the modern port industry has become a key part of the world economy，acting as an important facilitator of regional economic growth, world economic and trade integration and supply chain globalization.

The first Exchange is now being convened in Shanghai. TheExchange, as a high-levelplatform for continuing discussions between ports on common development, will help ports sustain healthy and steady development ina new climate.
