2014, March 28, Shanghai, China - According to 2013 annual report, SIPG posted an 8.1% year-on-year cargo volume increase in 2013 to 543 million tons, of which bulk cargo was recorded 204 million tons, up 10.5% year on year; container throughput was reported a 3.8% year-on-year increase to 33.773 million TEU, ranking No.1 throughout the world for four consecutive years since 2010.

SIPG posted revenues of 28.162 billion RMB, a 0.77% drop from the previous year. The decrease is mainly due to the change of consolidation scope, for the former Shanghai Harbor Engineering Company went through structural reform into China State Construction Harbor Construction Co., Ltd., which was excluded from the scope of consolidated financial statements from Feb. 1st, 2013. To put that factor aside, revenues rose by 2.9% year on year. Net profits that belong to the shareholders increased by 5.76% year on year to 5.256 billion RMB.
