Announcement of Establishment of Joint Venture for Expansion of Battery Management Bu

SIIX Corporation hereby announces as described that our Singapore subsidiary, SIIX Singapore Pte. Ltd., will establish a joint venture with Orient Technology (S) Pte. Ltd. ("OT"), a provider of energy storage solutions, to establish a joint venture company as follows.

1. Objective of establishment

In our mid-term management plan, we plan to expand our battery-related business, for which demand is expected to increase rapidly in the future, in order to contribute to a decarbonized society through our business. By establishing a joint venture company with OT, a technology partner with expertise in battery pack design, development, and manufacturing technology, we will build this expertise within the SIIX Group, thereby acquiring EMS business related to batteries and strengthening relationships with battery manufacturers.

Since battery packs are expected to become key devices in various markets in the future, we will aim to provide battery packs on a global basis to the automotive related market, where the shift to EVs is expanding thanks to government support measures, to medical equipment and industrial equipment fields where electrification is progressing, by utilizing our battery solution technology.

In this way, we have positioned the provision of commercial products through alliances with technology partners around the world as a new area of focus, and we will continue to promote JDM (Note).
