For the second time in a row, Souza Cruz has been certified as a Top Employer by the CRF (Corporate Research Foundation) Institute - a renowned institution comprised of academics and specialists who evaluate HR policies and practices of a variety of companies worldwide. Eduardo Veiga, Souza Cruz Marketing manager, received the award from Steven Veenendaal, a member of the CRF Institute board, during a ceremony that took place on 12 March at the Hotel Grand Hyatt in São Paulo. Steven Veenendaal closed the event by mentioning that BAT is one of the top five Top Employers in the world.

Fernando Teixeira, Souza Cruz director of Human Resources, emphasized the meaning of this award the Company has achieved. "To be a Top Employer company means that we are going in the right direction in terms of our people management practices. This means that our efforts to build winning teams and create opportunities for professional development are being recognized and validated within the metrics of the country's principal employers", he said.

In its second year, Top Employers Brazil also certified 16 other companies: América Latina Logística, Avanade, BBMapfre, Bic Banco, Coca Cola FEMSA, Danone, Deloitte, EDP Energia, Prosegur, Purac, SAS Institute, Schneider Electric, Takeda, Technip, Umicore and Valeo. Presented by the CRF Institute since 1991, the Award evaluates HR practices and policies using five criteria: Primary Benefits, Secondary Benefits and Working Conditions, Training and Development, Career Development and Organizational Culture.
