“SPORT1 Motor” takes off: Germany’s leading multichannel sports platform launches its first FAST channel in cooperation with Samsung TV Plus

Ismaning, November 17, 2023 - Full of speed and action - SPORT1 launches its first dedicated FAST channel SPORT1 Motor with immediate effect: The new FAST channel SPORT1 Motor offers the best car documentary formats, plus stories about luxury sports cars and gripping reports, for example on electromobility. It is a premiere for SPORT1: In cooperation withSamsung TV Plus, Germany's leading multichannel sports platform is launching its first FAST channel. FAST stands for "Free Ad Supported Streaming TV" and focuses entirely on the needs of car fans with its free package on the world of motors. SPORT1 is making successful formats such as "Die PS Profis - Mehr Power aus dem Pott" and "Autoperlen" and other formats such as "Car Maniac" and "Triebwerk" available to the TV streaming provider Samsung TV Plus. The new channel is aimed at all Samsung Smart TV and Galaxy device users via the free Samsung TV Plus app.

So much horsepower is in SPORT1 Motor

SPORT1's new FAST channel is dedicated to the favorite toy of many Germans: the car. The program portfolio includes the well-known used car documentary "Die PS Profis - Mehr Power aus dem Pott". Sidney Hoffmann and Jean Pierre Kraemer, two true originals from the Ruhr area in North Rhine-Westphalia, go on a car hunt for SPORT1 viewers in an entertaining and informative way. In "Autoperlen", meanwhile, everything revolves around dream car brands such as Bentley, Ferrari, Lamborghini and Porsche, with Hamburg luxury car dealer Hamid Mossadegh being looked over the shoulder as he works with his well-heeled clients. "Car Maniac" is all about electromobility, including a big electric car check - hosted by YouTube star Chris Karatsonyi and racing driver Laura-Marie Geissler. The program also includes formats launched last year such as "Triebwerk - Das Automagazin mit Tim Schrick" and "TestRide - Das Motormagazin", in which new vehicles coming onto the market are put through their paces.
