Dr. Ma become a successful businessman in the tourism-related industries over the years, and has been committed to contributing to the development of culture and arts and community services in both the Mainland China and Hong Kong, by supporting and participating in various arts and cultural activities, charity and youth education programmes. Dr. Ma has also served in various public duties, including the Executive President of Hong Kong Culture Association, Executive Vice Chairman of Hong Kong CPPCC Youth Association, and Executive Vice Chairman of Hong Kong Volunteers Federation. Being appointed as a member of the CPPCC National Committee and a standing member of CPPCC Chongqing Municipal Committee are recognition to Dr. Ma's years of endeavour.
