Hana Dellemann (43) will become CEO of the Thales transport subsidiary in Austria and will thus be responsible for the Austrian market, including the development site in Vienna.

In addition, the Central and Eastern European markets such as Hungary, Bulgaria, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and the Western Balkan countries are part of her responsibility.

The graduate in business administration brings broad railway knowledge and international corporate experience to her new role. Since 2017, she has been Deputy Director General of the Austro-Hungarian Railway Company GySEV and Managing Director of the Raaberbahn. She thus had overall responsibility for the Austrian GySEV branches, which handle around 1.3 million passengers per year. The comprehensive tasks ranged from the expansion and maintenance of the rail infrastructure to the procurement of new, modern trains and the strategic development of the company. In addition, she was responsible for the operational management of the Neusiedler Seebahn.

Hana Dellemann started her career at OBB, where she has held several positions in Germany and abroad, especially in the CEE region. During her consultancy job at McKinsey, she also worked abroad for large infrastructure projects in the field of transport and logistics. Subsequently, she managed subsidiaries of Austrian Post in Poland and Austria.

She completed her education with a focus on finance and accounting at the University of Economics in Bratislava as well as at the Vienna University of Economics and the Comenius University in Bratislava, where she received her PhD in 2004 on 'Change Management in Railway Companies'.

Hana Dellemann will take over on April 1 from Hannes Boyer, who has been with the company since 1989 and has held various management positions, most recently as CEO of Thales in Austria since 2016. In January 2023, he additionally took over responsibility for global sales and business development for the entire transport division. From May 2024, Boyer will lead the international Main Line Signalling Business Line with customers in more than 50 countries and over 4,800 employees.
