TotalEnergies announces the start of production at the Tyra offshore complex in the Danish North Sea, following the completion of a major redevelopment project.

Tyra will produce 5.7 million cubic meters of gas and 22,000 barrels of condensate per day, enabling Denmark to become self-sufficient and once again a net exporter of natural gas.

TotalEnergies operates the Tyra field on behalf of the Danish Underground Consortium, a partnership between TotalEnergies (43.2%), BlueNord (36.8%) and Nordsøfonden (20%).

' The new Tyra implements digital solutions and technological innovations enabling it to produce more efficiently and with greenhouse gas emissions 30% lower than the old facilities ', said Nicolas Terraz, President Exploration-Production of TotalEnergies.

The resumption of gas production at Tyra also reinforces security of supply in Europe.

Gas from the Tyra hub is exported to Europe via two pipelines arriving at Nybro (Denmark) and Den Helder (Netherlands).
