On the occasion of a visit by its CEO Patrick Pouyanné to the Sultanate of Oman, TotalEnergies announced the final investment decision for the Marsa LNG project, in which it holds an 80% stake alongside the Omani national company OQ (20%).

The French group has also signed an agreement with Oman LNG under which it will offtake 0.8 Mtpa of LNG for ten years from 2025, making TotalEnergies one of the main buyers of Oman LNG's production.

Finally, TotalEnergies (49%) and OQ Alternative Energy (51%) confirm that they are in advanced discussions to jointly develop a portfolio of 800 MW renewable projects, including the 300 MWp solar project that will supply Marsa LNG.
