TRIPLAN, a German-based company brings to India its 45 years of engineering experience in various segments of industry. Along with its patented environment friendly technology CCSS for handling of pet coke and TRICAD MS™ the industry standard for digital factory design. TRIPLAN recently received European patent for its technology for pet coke (petroleum coke) handling in Delayed Coker for refineries- Closed Coke Slurry System (CCSS). It has got a good response from the Refineries across the globe. This system contains patented proprietary equipment which handles the pet coke in closed manner as compared to present open system used by all refineries. This totally eliminates the pollution caused by the delayed Coker units. It also reduces the water consumption of delayed coker by 15%, reliability of the delayed Coker unit is improved drastically, and the cost of maintenance is reduced. Also the dried coke can be used as a feed to power plants and cement industry. This technology will help improve the neglected process of the coal production.

This system is operating in the largest refinery of Germany, Miro refinery in Karsruhe since 2006. The refinery is owned jointly by Shell, BP, ESSO, Conoco Philips & Rosnesft.

With its local TRIPLAN presence in Pune, the Indian refiners will have an opportunity to have an access to this technology. Indian refining industry is planning for capacity expansion and is likely to install more delayed coker units. Except for the few equipment which will be manufactured in Germany, all the other equipment and parts of this system will be localized and manufactured in India for the Indian market, potentially as well for the global market. So not only the Indian refiners will benefit from this technology the local equipment manufacturers could also.

TRIPLAN India Pvt Ltd will set up an Engineering Center in Pune to cater to Chemical, Refining, Life sciences and Food & Beverages industry. Initially it will recruit 40 to 50 engineering professionals and will do substantial addition in next 2 years. TRIPLAN also intends to remain a multicenter organization and intends to set up offices in other parts of India. This entity will cater to the local projects in India and also TRIPLANs customers in Europe who intend to invest in India. TRIPLAN has already executed three projects in India.

TRIPLANs international projects particularly the Middle East & South East Asia shall be supported by the Indian subsidiary. The combination of TRIPLANs engineering experience in Europe for process plant engineering and the local engineering talent will offer a great benefit to the Indian Industry.

TRIPLAN was also one of the pioneers in developing intelligent Plant design softwares with the idea of "software developed by Engineers for the Engineers''. 'TRICAD MS™ ' developed by its subsidiary Venturis GmbH is used by all the Major Automotive companies for Digital factory design for all their new plants they set up for car manufacturing. It is being used by Mercedes, Volkswagen, BMW, AUDI, Skoda. & is the established standard for Digital Factory Design of automotive production lines, approved by the VDA (Association of German Car Manufacturers).

TRICAD is used for design of HVAC & utilities for Airport by FRAPORT the leading Airport operator. The process industry is also using this software for plant engineering. TRIPLAN India will provide services on TRICAD MS &provide customer support to TRICAD MS™ users.
