Umicore announced a change to its board of directors, which will be submitted for approval at the next ordinary general meeting of shareholders to be held on April 30, 2020. The board of directors has decided to propose the appointment of Mario Armero as a new member of the board, replacing Gérard Lamarche who does not wish to be re-elected. Mr. Mario Armero, is chairman of the companies Indo, Palex and Axion.

For the sake of caution and in the context of the extreme unpredictability of the global situation, Umicore's board of directors has decided to propose a dividend of €0.375 per share for the full year 2019. This proposal replaces the original proposal of 7 February 2020 of €0.75 per share and amounts to the amount of the interim dividend of €0.375 per share that was already paid on August 27, 2019. This decision should also be seen as a way in which Umicore's management and board of directors share efforts across all of its stakeholders . Umicore will determine the appropriate amount to be distributed to shareholders in 2020 when it has more clarity on the full impact of COVID-19.
