Kivalliq Energy Corporation Announces Management Changes

Kivalliq Energy Corporation announced that current director and CEO, Jim Paterson, has been appointed to the role of Chairman of company's board of directors. John Robins, former Chairman and founder of the company, did not stand for re-election but will remain a strong supporter of the company and moving forward will be an Advisor to the company. Robert Scott, has been appointed as CFO, effective immediately.

Mr. Scott, CPA, CA, CFA brings more than 20 years of professional experience in accounting, corporate finance, and merchant and commercial banking and has served on the management teams and boards of a number of Canadian publicly traded companies. He is a founder and president of Corex Management Inc. Mr. Scott currently holds senior management and board positions with a number of TSX Venture Exchange Issuers including Riverside Resources Inc., Great Bear Resources Ltd. and Northern Empire Resources Corp.

ValOre Metals Corp. is a Canada-based exploration stage company focused on the acquisition, exploration and development of resource properties. It has interests in exploration projects in northern Canada and Brazil. Its properties include Pedra Branca Platinum Group Elements (PGE) Project, Hatchet Lake Property, Baffin Gold Property and Genesis Property. The Pedra Branca PGE Project comprises approximately 52 exploration licenses covering a total area of 56,852 hectares in northeastern Brazil. The Hatchet Lake Property consists of six mineral dispositions totaling over 13,711 hectares, located adjacent to the north-eastern margin of the Athabasca Basin in Saskatchewan. It holds approximately 50% interest in 131,412-hectares Genesis Property located northeast of Saskatchewanâs Athabasca Basin. Its Baffin Gold Property is comprised of mineral tenure located approximately 230 km southwest of the community of Clyde River on Baffin Island, in the Qikiqtani region of Nunavut.
