Having completely overhauled Viadeo's engineering processes and having headed the company's product development teams over the last 2 years, Eric Pantera has today taken charge of technological innovation in its entirety at France's leading professional social network. The move also sees Eric, 34, join the company's Executive Committee and he will report directly to Viadeo CEOs and co-founders Thierry Lunati and Dan Serfaty.

Supported by a team of more than 60 engineers, Eric embodies the desire for innovation instilled at the very heart of the company. Viadeo's engineering team deals with a range of challenges, tackling everything from constructing new products such as Let's Meet, Viadeo Freelance, and employees' opinions, to coordinating Web and Mobile developments or even increasing the relevance of suggestions provided to members.

Before joining Viadeo in 2013, Eric worked alongside many leading French media and web-based companies at IT consulting firm OCTO Technology and today has over 10 years of experience in engineering management. Early in his career, he was involved in several entrepreneurial adventures, launching a range of tech startups.

'In recent months, our team has successfully overcome a significant challenge by completely revamping the architecture and infrastructure of the Viadeo platform without compromising our strong focus on innovation,' explained Eric Pantera. 'Today we've established a level of technological power and agility that has created a real sense of buzz in our team and which means we can continue to transform Viadeo at high speed. Right now, we're focusing on providing users with the most user-friendly design possible and increasing both efficiency and relevance in searching for a new job.'

Eric Pantera graduated from French grande école EPITA, specializing in Software Engineering and Information Systems.
