The Expanding Public Lands Outdoor Recreation Experiences (EXPLORE) Act, which passed a vote on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives this week, now moves to the Senate.

ANOKA, Minn. - Vista Outdoor Inc. (NYSE: VSTO), the parent company of 41 renowned brands that design, manufacture and market sporting and outdoor lifestyle products to consumers around the globe, today reaffirmed its support of the Expanding Public Lands Outdoor Recreation Experiences (EXPLORE) Act and applauded passage of the Act on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives.

This legislation, which has strong bipartisan and bicameral support and has been endorsed by virtually every outdoor recreation industry organization, hundreds of outdoor businesses, and conservation groups, now moves to the Senate. Vista Outdoor and its two operating segments, Revelyst and The Kinetic Group, wholeheartedly recommend the Senate pass this legislation to protect our public lands, waters and the communities prospering from them.

Introduced by U.S. Representatives Bruce Westerman (R-Ark.), Chairman of the House Natural Resources Committee, and Raúl M. Grijalva (D-Ariz.), Ranking Member of the House Natural Resources Committee, the EXPLORE Act is poised to stimulate local and national economies, enhance access for Americans to green spaces - particularly those in underserved communities, and modernize policies to bolster the recreation businesses that connect people with nature.

"The EXPLORE Act will help remove barriers to outdoor recreation and increase access to public lands," said Fred Ferguson, Vice President of Public Affairs and Communications for Vista Outdoor's Revelyst segment. "Furthermore, the legislation will strengthen the $1.1 trillion outdoor recreation economy and the rural communities throughout the United States whose local economies rely on access to public lands and waters as well as quality infrastructure. Policies within the EXPLORE Act will enable long overdue permit streamlining, update outdoor recreation infrastructure, improve trails and increase access to green spaces in underserved communities. We hope the Senate quickly passes these bipartisan, commonsense solutions to maintain and enrich the places we love most."

The bill complements the America's Outdoor Recreation Act (AORA) introduced in the Senate by U.S. Senators Joe Manchin (D-WV), Chairman of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, and John Barrasso (R-WY), Ranking Member of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee. Vista Outdoor has also been a vocal supporter of AORA, including testifying before Congress on that package of outdoor recreation bills.

Vista Outdoor thanks all outdoor industry stakeholders for uniting in support of this bipartisan opportunity to protect our public lands, ensuring we sustain the outdoors for generations.
