(NASDAQ:VTAE), a clinical-stage biotechnology company, today announced the completion of its underwritten public offering of 5,833,333 shares of its common stock at a price to the public of $6.00 per share. In connection with the offering, Vitae has granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 875,000 shares of its common stock on the same terms and conditions. The gross offering proceeds to Vitae were approximately $35.0 million.

Piper Jaffray & Co. and BMO Capital Markets Corp. acted as joint book-running managers for the offering. Wedbush PacGrow acted as co-manager for the offering.
