New Showmaker rundown creation tool brings ease and flexibility to content production.

Vizrt, the leading provider of production tools for the digital media industry, will unveil new automation solutions at IBC2015, booth 7.A20, designed to make productions of all sizes easier and more efficient.

Showmaker - create your rundowns without a newsroom system

Innovations include Showmaker, a new tool that customers can use to build and amend rundowns and rundown elements within the Viz Mosart studio automation system and Viz Opus compact control room solution. With Showmaker, producers can script stories and edit graphics templates and videos through a highly intuitive, web-based interface. The new tool also integrates with Viz Pilot, allowing producers to easily access graphics templates and search video files in Viz One to add to show rundowns.

"Showmaker is perfect for live productions, such as sports and entertainment events, or for use in remote production trucks or any production where there is no access to a traditional newsroom system" said Petter Ole Jakobsen, Vizrt CTO. "This is a significant benefit for productions that require template-based graphics, video and an automation system."

More inputs for Viz Opus

With a new X.Mio3 Matrox board, Viz Opus now has a total of 12 I/O ports, with eight that can be used as inputs, as well as IP-based in and out. These advancements, as well as new support for Cleanfeed and PGM output, bring even greater flexibility to the easy-to-use and install compact control room system. With the new video playout capabilities it is a high-quality professional studio production tool on a single rack mounted unit.

Viz One integration for OTT platforms

Viz Mosart and Viz Opus now have an enhanced feature set with Viz One, which allows the automatic triggering of file transfers for adapted graphics and multiple OTT platforms.

"Automation today means solutions that are flexible, IP-enabled and easy to use," continued Jakobsen, "Vizrt is committed to continually evolving our tools to meet changing production needs and new media platforms.

These and other innovations will be shown at the Vizrt booth (7.A20) at IBC2015, September 11-15, 2015 at the RAI, Amsterdam.
