Warner Bros. Discovery, Inc. has announced several leadership roles. These appointments come in the wake of the recent appointment of James Gibbons as President of Asia Pacific.

Tony Qiu has been appointed as General Manager for Greater China and Southeast Asia, overseeing a regional cluster that includes Southeast Asia, mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan. He will be based in Singapore. Arjun Nohwar takes on the role of General Manager for South Asia, based in Mumbai.

Magdalene Ew has been appointed as the Head of Content, Streaming, APAC, based in Singapore. Lynn Ng is named as the Head of Content, Networks, APAC, also based in Singapore. Shonali Bedi will serve as the Head of Strategy, Partnerships, and Insights, APAC, with her base in Singapore.

Jae Chang is entrusted with the role of Head of Content Licensing for Southeast Asia, India, and Korea. He will be based in Singapore. These appointments take effect immediately, and all appointees will directly report to Gibbons.

In a related development, Masami Takahashi, the Country Manager and Head of Studios in Japan, is set to retire from the company and will be bidding farewell at the end of March 2024. The process to fill the position of General Manager for Japan, to be located in Tokyo, will begin soon. Several regional leaders will continue in their roles based in Singapore including Daniel Tan, whose responsibilities will expand to encompass Head of Marketing, APAC.

He will continue reporting to Patrizio Spagnoletto, the Global Chief Marketing Officer for Direct-to-Consumer. Kurt Rieder, who will remain as the Head of Theatrical Distribution, APAC, and continue reporting to Andrew Cripps, the President of International Theatrical Distribution. Jason Monteiro will continue in his role as the APAC Lead for Streaming, reporting to JB Perrette, the CEO and President of Global Streaming and Games.
