COLUMBUS, OH - November 9, 2021-SCHEELS All Sports store is now open at the west end of Southgate Mall in Missoula, Montana, bringing a one-of-a-kind retail adventure to the town center. The new SCHEELS location, occupying approximately 110,000 SF of fully renovated space, is focused on family-friendly attractions, including mini bowling, an arcade, a putting green, an archery lane, and a cafe serving homemade fudge and specialty coffee. SCHEELS carries world-class brands, with the same footwear, apparel and gear professionals rely on.
During the grand opening event held in October 2021, a line of guests stretched around the building, eager for their turn to shop and explore. SCHEELS kicked off the opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, VIP tour, and parking lot celebration, before welcoming excited and eager shoppers.

Three acres of potatoes were the seed for the first SCHEELS store in 1902. Frederick A. Scheel, a German immigrant, used the $300 he earned from that first harvest as the down payment on the first SCHEELS, a small hardware and general merchandise store in Sabin, Minnesota.
