We are delighted that our project Nando's Cambridge has won 'Commercial/Retail Project of the Year' at the Offsite Construction Awards 2017.

The category recognises large and small scale projects from office, hotel and business construction to supermarkets, restaurants and shopping centres. The chosen projects display a clear understanding of how to apply offsite technology to deliver a sustainable, energy efficient and cost-effective contemporary building.

The Awards celebrate outstanding examples of prefabrication and factory-based methods, products, systems and disciplines that increasingly strive to develop a sustainable, streamlined and cost-effective way to deliver a better built environment.

Nando's Cambridge is the first ever 100 percent eco-friendly eatery in Cambridge. A cleverly designed roof is insulated to keep the restaurant warm on the inside, whilst also harvesting rainwater to keep plants on the outside hydrated.

Waterman was appointed by B & K Structures to design substructures drainage.

The winners were announced at the Awards ceremony on 13th June 2017 at 240 Blackfriars, London.

Congratulations to all those involved in this great project!
