Westag & Getalit Aktiengesellschaft reported preliminary earnings results for the year ended December 31, 2014. For the year, the company reported generated revenues of EUR 223.1 million, which was somewhat lower than the prior-year level of EUR 224.2 million. A 7.2% loss in export revenues, due in part to declining business with Russia, had a particularly negative effect. Export revenues for the year dropped by 3.1% to EUR 44.7 million compared to EUR 46.2 million a year ago. EBIT in 2014 was EUR 8.9 million compared to EUR 9.1 million a year ago. The reasons for the slight decline were mainly due to lower revenues in the final quarter, especially in exports. The annual net profit developed in line with EBIT and was EUR 6.4 million.

The company also announced that effective 1 March 2015, Mr. Franz David, an experienced industry insider, will be appointed to the Management Board of Westag & Getalit AG. As Board member and head of surfaces/elements, he will succeed Mr. Markus Sander, who left the company as at 31 December 2014. Thus, in future, Mr. David will be in charge of the company's decorative and technical surfaces business.
