BRISBANE - 5 May 2014

Leading travel website Wotif.com today announced its first marketing partnership with the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) to inspire Aussie travellers to visit Hong Kong during their summer.

Wotif.com has a unique ability to reach and promote Hong Kong to its extensive customer base.

Michael Betteridge, Wotif Group's General Manager, Marketing explained the significance of the relationship:

"People have turned to Wotif.com first for their domestic travel needs for many years. This campaign allows us to showcase our extensive range of international product, and tempt our customers to book trips a little further afield, based on our fantastic flight and accommodation deals to Asia's 'world city'.

"Our team creates bespoke marketing programs in collaboration with our partners, designed to deliver great value travel choices to our customers. We help build excitement about our partners' destinations and drive customers to book by creatively communicating across a variety of channels. These channels include digital advertising, promotion across our desktop and mobile sites, and via email to our members, along with social and public relations initiatives."

Andrew Clark, HKTB's Regional Director commented:

"We are pleased to be partnering with Wotif.com to support a two-week Hong Kong City Spectacular campaign which promotes travel to Hong Kong during the Hong Kong Summer Fun from 27 June to 31 August this year. While the event showcases Hong Kong's shopping, culture, nightlife and dining attributes, it is also supported by cultural festivals which will add to visitors' travel experiences. These include the CCB (Asia) Hong Kong International Dragon Boat Races from 6 - 8 June, the International Arts Carnival from 11 July - 17 August and the Lan Kwai Fong Beer and Music Fest 2014 from 19 - 20 July."

The Hong Kong City Spectacular campaign will run from 5 - 18 May 2014. For more information on Hong Kong deals, visit www.promo.wotif.com/hong-kong/ or Discoverhongkong.com/au
