Top Management of SNC-Lavalin Group Inc. Visiting WISCO

In the afternoon of July 16th, 2014, the president and secretary of the party committee of WISCO-Deng Qilin, along with the vice president of WISCO-Liu Xiang warmly welcomed the visit of top management of SNC-Lavalin Group Inc. Both sides had friendly exchange of ideas in the future development and partnership.

SNC-Lavalin is one of the leading engineering, equipment procurement and construction groups in the world. It had the good cooperation with JV founded by WISCO and ADI （ Adriana Resources Inc. ） in the iron ore project- Lac Otelnuk. SNC-Lavalin was looking forward to establishing long-term global partnership through this high-level visit.

The President and Chief Executive Officer of SNC-Lavalin-Robert G. Card introduced the main businesses and operation. He stated that SNC-Lavalin was the largest engineering and construction group in Canada and a group focusing on expanding global business as well. He hoped to promote cooperation with WISCO in the fields of iron mine construction.
　    Having presented the investment and development in overseas mineral resources of WISCO, Deng Qilin stated that steel industry was closely interlinked with iron mine development. Currently, we mostly relied on the import of iron ore resource necessary for steel production in China. The price was, therefore, subject to overseas iron mine companies. That's why we must own the iron ore resource by ourselves to break down overseas monopoly and guarantee the steel production. WISCO would contribute to having the existing overseas mining projects maintained the sustainable development in terms of construction, operation and management. SNC-Lavalin was welcome to be actively engaged in relevant project cooperation to provide hi-tech business support at a low cost.
