The Relay for Life fundraiser attracts volunteers of more than 5,200 communities and 27 countries around the world. In total, the Relay for Life organization is a sum of 3.5 million survivors, patients, advocates, volunteers, caregivers and researchers.

This year, the XactlyOne foundation celebrates six years of participation in Relay for Life. It's an event that all Xactlians - near and far - are proud to participate in each year. Whether they donate their time or resources (most often, both) you can bet most employees are devoting something in contribution to the event this coming weekend.

We asked our employees, 'What inspires you to support Relay for Life?' Some answers were:

  • 'Family members who are cancer survivors, and family members who cancer took far too early.'
  • 'To show solidarity with those who fight or have fought with cancer.'
  • 'To find a cure! To remember and support my mother-in-law who passed away from cancer last year.'
  • 'I am a cancer survivor!'
  • 'I walk for my aunt, who is currently fighting cancer.'
  • 'Finding a cure inspires me to walk.'

Nissidhi Aravindakshan joined Xactly over 10 years ago, as a Senior QA Software Engineer. She was a kind individual, and a wonderful addition to the Xactly family. In 2009, Nissidhi was diagnosed with cancer. XactlyOne begain participating in Relay for Life in 2011 in support of Nissidhi's fight with cancer. Nissidhi lost her battle to cancer and passed away in April of 2012. She is fondly remembered as a dear friend and colleague, one that the entire Xactly organizations continues to honor each year through Relay for Life.

This year is no different. Xactlians will be dressed in our Relay for Life best, and ready to tackle our company goal; we aim to have an Xactly team member walking the track at all times, to signify how cancer never sleeps.
