The award is presented annually to companies in China whose human resources practices have made a significant contribution to their corporate development and serve as models for other companies in China.

Companies were evaluated based on 10 criteria:

  • 2017 financial results;
  • Human resources strategy and response to business development;

  • Social responsibility practices in 2017; and
  • Employer reputation.

A. O. Smith was recognized for its culture, values, and standards, as well as its innovative HR management through talent attraction and retention, positive employee development and cultivation plan, competitive performance, and salary system.

Among the well-known companies receiving the recognition were 3M, Cisco-China, Ford-China, Marriott, Microsoft, and Starbucks.
