ABB India : Prime Minister Narendra Modi visits ABB stall at Hannover Messe 2015

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and German Chancellor Angela Merkel visited the ABB booth at the Hannover Messe. Among the exhibits at the ABB booth, the world's first collaborative dual arm robot YuMi caught the fancy of the world leaders.

PM Modi has been actively furthered India as a manufacturing destination at Hannover Messe, promising an environment that is transparent, predictable, and stable. YuMi is the world's first collaborative dual-arm robot, launched at Hanover Fair 2015. With this robot, it will be the first time that humans and machines will be able to work hand-in-hand in the same workspace, freed from the constraints posed by safety barriers. ABB is a leader in robotics: In 1974, the company unveiled the world's first microprocessor-controlled electric industrial robot.
