ACNB CORPORATION REPORTS THIRD QUARTER EARNINGS

GETTYSBURG, PA, October 27, 2016 --- ACNB Corporation reported year-to-date net income of

$8,297,000 for the nine months ended September 30, 2016, compared to $8,165,000 for the same nine- month period in 2015, an increase of $132,000 or 2%. Net income on a per share basis was $1.37 for the first nine months of 2016, up from $1.36 for the same period in 2015.

The Corporation reported net income of $2,768,000 for the three months ended September 30, 2016, compared to $2,812,000 for the same quarter in 2015, a decrease of $44,000 or 2%. Net income on a per share basis was $0.46 for the third quarter of 2016, compared to $0.47 for the same period in 2015.

Quarterly cash dividends paid to ACNB Corporation stockholders for the first nine months of 2016 totaled $3,627,000, or $0.60 per share. For the same period in 2015, $0.60 per share was also paid in quarterly cash dividends.

Total assets of ACNB Corporation at September 30, 2016, were $1.21 billion, an increase of 7% from September 30, 2015. Total deposits increased by 8% over the previous year to $966 million. Total loans rose by 6% to $872 million, as compared to September 30, 2015. A 5% increase in stockholders' equity resulted in an aggregate of $121 million at September 30, 2016, compared to $115 million at September 30, 2015.
