Talent diversity is the focus of the 2018 Global Talent Competitiveness Index (GTCI). The GTCI is an annual benchmarking tool ranking countries and major cities on their ability to develop, attract and retain talent.

Developed by INSEAD in cooperation with the Adecco Group and Tata Communications, the fifth GTCI report will be presented in Davos, on Monday, January 22, 2018, on the eve of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting. This year's WEF agenda will focus on inclusive and sustainable models for growth and a call for unparalleled cooperation to solve the fractures we face as global societies.

Organisations exist in a global context, increasingly marked by fast change, geopolitical instability and economic volatility, that is fundamentally transforming the way we live and work. Against this background, the 2018 GTCI will share best practices from high-ranking countries and cities that demonstrate how diversity and inclusion can be leveraged to attract, retain, and develop talent and realise a more sustainable, innovative, and eventually shared, future of work.

The 2018 GTCI will touch upon how greater cooperation can be achieved by deploying the breadth and depth of human ingenuity, which will be fostered by a commitment to diversity and inclusion. With insights from GTCI authors Bruno Lanvin and Paul Evans of INSEAD, along with Alain Dehaze, CEO of the Adecco Group, and Vinod Kumar, CEO Tata Communications, the 2018 GTCI will take a comprehensive look at how embracing difference strengthens performance and advantage.
