Retail Expert Strengthens Management Team For Digitalisation Strategy:

Arnold van Bebber New Head of Marketing at ADLER Modemärkte

Haibach (near Aschaffenburg), 19 April 2018:Adler Modemärkte AG has appointed Arnold van Bebber as its new Head of Marketing, gaining a wealth of experience in marketing and retail. Mr van Bebber graduated with a degree in business administration and his career has spanned strategic and operational management positions in a range of sectors, including over 20 years in fashion. As part of his managerial duties overseeing customer and sales development, he focussed in particular on developing and implementing digitalisation strategies, and on refining and monetising customer loyalty programmes.

Mr Van Bebber moves to ADLER from his current employer, FC Schalke 04, where he held management responsibility for the product and merchandising strategy, and for sales channels. The focus of the club's digital transformation strategy included implementing cloud-based marketing, service and sales solutions and the coupling of traditional catalogues with online sales channels.Mr Van Bebber's career has also included positions at WMF AG (2011-2015: managing director retail, most recently also Head of POS Center of Excellence), Leiser Handelsgesellschaft (2005-2010: managing director) and SinnLeffers AG (1989-2005: most recently divisional managing director/head of sales).

Other key personnel changes

As part of its new corporate strategy and as announced on 14 March 2018, ADLER also created the position of Chief Commercial Officer, which will be held by Carmine Petraglia. He will be responsible for Distribution and E-Commerce at ADLER from 1 June 2018. As part of the realignment, Procurement will be managed by Thomas Rothe, who has been ADLER's Head of Supply Chain Management since February 2017. Annika Schwägerl, who has been responsible for this function to date, will leave the Company by mutual agreement as at 30 April 2018.
