Amino, leaders in hybrid TV and cloud solutions, will launch its new high performance 4K UHD enterprise device at CABSAT 2017 in Dubai later this month. This new product is optimised to deliver high quality content to digital signage and hospitality applications.

The Kamai 7E is designed for 'out of sight' operation to deliver content across a diverse range of environments - from in-room hospitality through public space signage and advertising applications where demand for 4K-based services is growing rapidly.

Sector-specific features include a Power over Ethernet (PoE) capability for single-cable installation that reduces installation time and cost. A serial display port, IR extender port, options for internal RF4CE and Bluetooth LE and VESA mounting all support out-of-sight operation, easy installation, and promote a simplified user experience.

The Kamai 7E also offers optional internal 2x2ac Wi-Fi for networking with a trickle-feed feature enabling content to be stored, played-back and refreshed remotely on internal eMMC or external Flash memory devices.

In a rugged case, the device combines a high-performance ARM v7 processor with graphics acceleration for fast rendering of high quality graphics. HEVC capability enables the delivery of high quality images in areas where bandwidth or physical head-end storage needs to be optimised.

Amino has a long history of working with integration partners on a wide range of enterprise and hospitality implementations with devices supporting content delivery in environments as diverse as major sports stadiums, leading hotel groups and the Scottish prison system.

Amino CEO Donald McGarva said: 'Enterprise and hospitality is an important element of our customer offering and we are very pleased to bring a new enhanced device to the market that is closely aligned with current and future demand. The increasing use of 4K in on-screen advertising and signage - and the increasing expectations of hotel guests - is driving the market and we see the Kamai 7E as the ideal product for our system integrator partners.'

This new device will make its debut on Amino's stand - #C2-32 - at CABSAT 2017 - the leading Middle East regional broadcast show - at a time of strong growth in hotel building programmes in the region ahead of the World Cup in Qatar in 2022. Globally, the digital signage market is forecast to grow to reach $27.3bn* by 2022 at a CAGR of 6.7% from 2016.
