Aneka Tambang Persero Tbk PT : ANTAM Participate on the Animals Protection Conservation Program

Jakarta, September 13, 2016 - PT ANTAM (Persero) Tbk (IDX: ANTM; ASX: ATM; ANTAM) announces that the Company through Precious Metals Processing and Refinery Business Unit (UBPP LM) participate on the animals protection conservation program in cooperation with the conservation agencies, Taman Safari Indonesia (TSI) Cisarua. In 2016, ANTAM adopted orangutan which named Silvio, after adopting the elephant in 2015 which named Goldy in TSI Cisarua, Puncak Bogor West Java. This program is a part of the company's participation in the effort to preserve the biodiversity of national's flora and fauna heritage.

ANTAM's Human Capital & Corporate Social Responsibility Director, I Made Surata said,
' This cooperation is a part of the implementation of corporate social responsibility program in biodiversity sector which conducted by UBPP LM. In 2015, ANTAM adopted the elephants on the program of Foster Parents Animals TSI Cisarua, meanwhile in 2016, we decided to increase the amount of animals in the adoption program by adopting orangutan. We hope that our participation on this program will stimulate other Company to support for the TSI Foster Parents Program. '

UBPP LM is one of ANTAM's business unit which have a main business in precious metal processing and refinery. In the form of implementation of good operational practices, ANTAM conducts a corporate social responsibility program in biodiversity sector in the Company operational area in Indonesia.

Wild elephants and orangutans are protected animals and listed as an endangered species in Indonesia. In the last two years, ANTAM in cooperation with the institutions that have the ability on the preservation of wild animals. Taman Safari Indonesia is one of the institution which have expertise on rare animals preservation program.
