Florida Facility Approved for Role in Anti-counterfeiting Effort

(OTCQB: APDN), (Twitter: @APDN), a provider of DNA-based authentication and security solutions, announced today that a Florida facility of Micross Components, a global provider of specialty electronic components with a 35 year history in providing authentic, high-reliability products, has completed the training process to become a certified SigNature® DNA Third-Party Marker. The Micross Clearwater, Florida facility has been audited and approved to securely store multiple unique SigNature DNA marks and apply them on behalf of customers.
Certified Third-Party Markers play a key role in APDN's anti-counterfeiting solution by offering companies a way to efficiently and immediately begin SigNature DNA-marking their products. Because Micross Components has the quality infrastructure in place, they can support a range of customers in the military, aerospace, industrial and commercial spaces as the SigNature DNA marking program continues to grow and gain momentum.
Micross Components boasts a broad scope of services in a number of key industry segments that make them an ideal partner for the SigNature DNA Marking program. The company is both an aftermarket and original component manufacturer of packaged integrated circuits, and also offers DLA lab-suitable MIL- STD test screening.
Additionally, Micross Components supports the US Defense Logistics Agency SigNature DNA Marking requirement by approving their legally authorized distributors to ship DNA-marked components to the Agency.
