PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk (AALI) reported a positive performance in operation and finance during the first half (H-1) of 2014.


During the six month period,  the company's production of crude palm oil (CPO) reached 852,900 tons or an increase of 21.1 percent from the production recorded during the same period last year.



The average selling price of the company's CPO increased by 31.5 percent from Rp 6,638 per kg during the first half of 2013 to Rp 8,728 per kg during the same period this year. The consolidated income of the company amounted to Rp 8,0 trillion, an increase of 45.7 percent if compared to the income during the same period last year. Of the total net income, 87.3 percent was derived from the sale of CPO and its derivatives, and the rest was derived from the sale of palm kernel oil and derivatives.

The positive growth of production and the increase of CPO average prices have raised its net profit by 90.9 percent to Rp 1.37 trillion as compared to Rp 717 billion during the same period last year.

The company's CPO production is supported by 26 palm oil mills with a total production capacity of 1,280 tons per hour.

Currently, the company manages a total of 282.9 thousand hectares of oil palm plantations in Sumatra, Kalimantan, and Sulawesi. (*)
