Atmos Energy Continues Investigation of Dallas Incident

DALLAS (March 3, 2015) - Atmos Energycontinues to work with local authorities and the Texas Railroad Commission to determine what caused an incident at 9430 Eloise in Dallas on Monday.
"First and foremost, our thoughts are with the families affected by last night's incident," said Jennifer Altieri, Atmos Energy Spokesperson. "We evacuated five homes as a precaution in order to safely secure the area and begin our investigation. These families are now allowed back in their homes."
According to records, Atmos Energy did not receive any service requests or leak calls from residents on Eloise or Memory Lane in the week leading up to Monday's incident.
"We want to remind everyone, if you smell natural gas or rotten eggs to please leave the area immediately and call 911 or the Atmos Energy emergency line at 1-866-322-8667." Altieri said. "Atmos Energy will respond to any suspected gas leaks at no cost to the customer."
