Auckland Airport has recently released its annual Corporate Social Responsibility report which summarises the work it has done over the past year to be a socially responsible business.

Anna Cassels-Brown, Auckland Airport's general manager people and safety, says the new report highlights the progress the business has made in a diverse range of areas that fall under the Corporate Social Responsibility umbrella.

'At Auckland Airport we want to make a positive long-term contribution to our employees, community, city, country and the world,' says Anna.
'This year's Corporate Social Responsibility report includes the progress we're making to be an employer of choice, manage our carbon emissions, support local community groups and make a positive contribution to the Auckland and New Zealand economies.'

Some of the key highlights of the report include Auckland Airport:

  • being included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index for the fourth year in a row
  • launching Ara, the airport jobs and skills hub, to connect South Aucklanders with more than 27,000 new jobs over the next 30 years as the airport is expanded and developed
  • gaining a 'commended' rating by the Infrastructure Sustainability Council of Australia for the operation of its terminal infrastructure.
