Convened by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) more than five decades ago, the week-long series of events kicks off today.

Recent ADP data shows that small businesses in the United States have been responsible for the following successes:

  • Adding 108,000 jobs in March.
  • Adding about 1.3 million jobs over the last 12 months.
  • Adding about 44 percent of the total new jobs created in the last 12 months.
