-The United Kingdom has proposed that the European Union maintain a 'temporary customs union' after Brexit. According to a report presented by the government of Prime Minister Theresa May, London wants to facilitate a 'smooth transition' in the interchange of merchandise between the two parties, Europa Press reports.

- U.S. President Donald Trump once again blamed 'both sides' for the recent events in Charlottesville. The president, after condemning white supremacist movements, once again said that 'there were bad people on both sides,' The New York Times reported

- In Spain, the daily newspaper El Mundo reported that the Catalonian parliament today will challenge the Spanish state, while the governing Popular Party will not apply article 155 of the constitution, which would suspend Catalonia´s autonomy. Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy will meet this afternoon with his cabinet to evaluate the actions of the Generalitat, the Catalonian regional government.

- Banks must examine their customers before selling them guaranteed funds. The Economy Ministry will require that banks evaluate investors in almost all portfolios that have earnings targets, the daily newspaper Cinco Dias reported.
