Banco Sabadell expands General Management Committee by incorporating Ramón de la Riva and Enric Rovira

As part of the Triple business plan for 2014-2016 and in the context of internationalisation in the Americas and the United Kingdom, Banco Sabadell has expanded its General Management Committee by incorporating Ramón de la Riva, Deputy General Manager in charge of Markets and Private Banking, and Enric Rovira, Deputy General Manager in charge of Asset Transformation and Industrial and Real Estate Holdings.

In parallel, the organisation structures of the Finance and Operations & Corporate Development departments have been adapted and the executive structures and functions in the Americas have been expanded. These changes predate the acquisition of TSB, which is proceeding on schedule.

Additionally, within the Operations and Corporate Development department, the group's Technology department is being strengthened by the appointment, effective 1 July, of Rüdiger Schmidt, who will take charge of global functions in technology and systems, certification and digital transformation. Rüdiger comes to Banco Sabadell after 18 years at Deutsche Bank, where he has held executive positions at international level in the area of technology for Retail Banking, Private Wealth Management and Transaction Banking.

Moreover, the current management structure in the Americas, headed by Deputy General Manager Fernando Pérez-Hickman, has been renamed America & Global Corporate Banking and its current functions have been expanded to encompass managing all representative offices outside Spain and the group's Corporate Banking and Structured Finance businesses.
