Danamon Simpan Pinjam Launched Mobil DSP

Increasing Access to Financial Services through Mobile Banking Units, Encouraging the Entrepreneurial Spirit with 'Heboh 1 Miliar' Program.

PT Bank Danamon Indonesia, Tbk. ("Danamon"), through its micro banking unit, Danamon Simpan Pinjam (DSP), today launched Mobil DSP, a mobile banking unit that is equipped with banking products and services such as savings accounts and micro lending. The launch of Mobil DSP is conducted concurrently with DSP's sweepstake program, 'Heboh 1 Milliar' (Wow 1 billion) in Pasar Segar Bintaro, South Tangerang, Banten Province.

"The launch of Mobil DSP is our commitment to continuously improve the quality and reach of Danamon's services, especially to the micro enterprises segment. With Mobil DSP, we hope that we can reach micro entrepreneurs who were previously untouched by financial services, enabling them to grow their businesses, and, as such improving their welfare.  This is in line with Danamon's vision, which is to care and enable millions to prosper," said Muliadi Rahardja, Vice President Director, Danamon.

Mobil DSP is able to provide various services, including opening a savings account, cash deposit and withdrawals, consultation for loan application, application for micro insurance, and fund transfer.   Through Mobil DSP, customers have access to a variety of Danamon products that are suited to their needs, including Sipinter, Danamon Lebih, and Cita-Citaku savings products as well as Danamon Time Deposit, in addition to secured and unsecured micro financing (Solusi Modal). As of December 2014, Danamon Simpan Pinjam booked IDR 19 trillion in loans and set a target of 7%-9% loan growth this year compared to 2014.

"The potential of the micro enterprises segment is still very large, considering that there are many micro enterprises that are beyond the reach of financial services. Mobil DSP has an advantage in reaching these entrepreneurs who are out of the physical banking network, therefore supporting the financial inlcusion program of the Indonesia's Financial Services Authority (OJK)," added Muliadi Rahardja.

In addition to providing access to products and services, Mobil DSP also provides knowledge to customers who are unfamiliar with banking products and their benefits. A Mobil DSP unit is supported by 2 account officers and 1 teller, who can assist customers in providing information on financial products and services, enabling customers to make informed decisions in managing their finances.

In conjunction with the launch of Mobil DSP, Danamon Simpan Pinjam is also launching the 'Heboh 1 Miliar' sweepstake program through a points system accumulated by Danamon Simpan Pinjam customers through application of a new loan, increasing a loan plafond, punctual payment, and customer referrals. This program, which runs from March 2015 to February 2016, is hoped to encourage micro entrepreneurs to dream big in terms of their businesses, driving them to motivate themselves.

During the launch of Mobil DSP, Danamon Simpan Pinjam also held a number of supporting activities, such as free medical check-ups, free business consultations for the Pasar Segar Bintaro community, and DSP Job Fair to seek employee candidates for DSP.
