Users of the Cheque Deposit Box at BEA's Castle Peak Road Branch on 30th September, 2017 are Advised to Contact the Branch Hong Kong, 3rd October, 2017 - The Bank of East Asia, Limited ("BEA") advises customers and members of the public who deposited cheques using the Cheque Deposit Box at the Bank's Castle Peak Road Branch ("the Branch") on 30th September, 2017 to contact the Branch as soon as possible.Due to procedural oversight during renovation work, which was carried out at the Branch during the previous weekend, the Cheque Deposit Box was accidentally disposed of, and cheques deposited into the box were lost as a result.
The Bank apologises for any inconvenience this incident may have caused, and will provide assistance to the affected people. Users of the Cheque Deposit Box at the Branch on that day should contact Ms. Chow of the Branch at (852) 3609 2600 as soon as possible, or visit the Branch for assistance.
