Every few months a new ClickShare firmware version becomes available, featuring driver updates, bug fixes, and very often interesting functionality enhancements. Fantastic for users, but a nightmare for some facility managers (and their teams) who need to go from meeting room to meeting room to update the equipment. Not to mention the angry meeting participants who are interrupted by the staff visits. Luckily, Barco has a solution.

This solution is called the ClickShare Management Suite. How does it work? Simply download and install this free software on a (virtual) Linux server, and make sure all ClickShare Base Units are connected to the network via an RJ45 cable. You will see all available Base Units show up in the program. This is not only restricted to the systems at the same site, but can be expanded to all ClickShare in your company, no matter where they are located!

Now download the software update, select the ClickShare units that need to be updated and schedule the update (preferably at night in order not to disturb any meetings). By the time you and your colleagues are back in the office in the morning, all ClickShare units will be updated without interrupting any meeting. Talking about efficiency!
