Alstom Transport, a leading transport services provider based in Saint-Ouen, France, supplies rail transport and signaling systems for urban, suburban and regional transport. The company's multipurpose Virtual Reality Center is powered - amongst others - with Barco projection technology.

With the center, Alstom aims to promote its transport services to potential clients, review digital mock-ups and drive innovation. To these ends, a fully immersive set-up was created using a 6 by 2.5 image wall. Four Barco F30-SXGA video projectors in passive stereoscopy facilitate the screening of high-quality 3D-images, while a tracking system ensures that the user always gets a realistic perspective according to his or her position.
