Qube Cinema - the US-based subsidiary of India's leading cinema technology company Real Image Technologies - will incorporate the 'Auro 11.1 by Barco' decoder in its integrated media blocks (IMB). As a result, upgrading to the immersive sound system will have never been easier for theater owners and cinema chains.

A major leap forward
With its IMBs, Qube Cinema provides the perfect solution for theater owners and cinema exhibitors looking for a seamless integration across all platforms - from 2K to 4K high frame rate (HFR). In India alone, more than 2,000 screens have been equipped with Qube Cinema's digital cinema systems.

The integration of the 'Auro 11.1 by Barco' decoder is a logical next step, as it enables cinema exhibitors to engage their audiences with true immersive 3D sound as well. Thanks to its design across three axes (width, depth and height), the format provides the audience with a unique and lifelike aural experience. Furthermore, there are currently no fewer than fifteen studios in India mixing content in Auro 11.1 by Barco, thus ensuring an ever-growing stream of new Hollywood, Bollywood and regional movies.

Maximizing experience and revenues
"Exhibitors need to engage their audiences, and offering 'Auro 11.1 by Barco' immersive sound is a cost-effective way to do that," says Senthil Kumar, founder and CEO of Qube Cinema. "I'm confident that the possibility to offer audiences a premium sound experience will help exhibitors to maximize their revenues."

"Entertaining the pioneering spirit of its parent company Real Image Media Technologies, Qube Cinema is committed to creating a seamless world of digital cinema", says Brian Claypool, Senior Director at Barco. Consequently its philosophy is completely in line with Barco's 'CinemaBarco' concept, which aims to take the digital cinema experience to an all-new level."
