Georgia System Operations Corporation (GSOC) strives to make connections every day to ensure fulfillment of member-owner's electricity demands, from generation to transmission to distribution. It's why they recently deployed an expansive video wall solution developed by Critical Space Solutions (CSS) and Barco, and are now enjoying crystal-clear data and graphics to empower efficient visual collaboration.

When it came time modernize the control center to provide greater situational awareness to its operators, GSOC and CSS turned to Barco for its best-in-class collaborative visualization products. Barco created a fully integrated platform comprising an 8x4 matrix of OLF-710 70" display walls, an ECU-100 controller and CMS control room management software.

Faster, easier collaboration
Now, using Barco's CMS software, operators and managers can control all content on the main video wall and adjacent LCD panels. They can share their EMS workstation content and application windows on any screen, while managers can select information presented on any workstation or display wall and present it in other rooms.

"With the ability to actively and even proactively monitor systems, GSOC can better ensure its client a stable and sufficient supply of reliable power," commented Tyler Bonner, Vice President Technical Innovation - Critical Space Solutions
